After Effects masterclass & Adobe certified

This After Effects masterclass & Adobe certified professional training course is designed for those who are either new to After Effects or have some experience and seek professional guidance to understand After Effects at an advanced level.

Our experienced training instructors will be there to assist you in preparing for the Adobe Certified Professional exam on the final day.

Our accelerated learning format allows you to digest more information whilst making it more memorable. The emphasis is on how the brain works. The most important factor about a training course is what you remember afterwards, and that's our number one focus.

You’ll begin by understanding the After Effects interface before getting hands-on with animation, layers, effects, and more. Then, you’ll progress to advanced features like animating text layers, keying, working with 3D, and finishing the course.

Our experienced training instructors will be with you to help you undertake the Adobe certification exam. Afterwards, if you pass, you can publicise your accreditation with Adobe digital badges, which provide a standardised certification outcome.

You must take the exam on a non-work (home) computer using a browser (Chrome, EDGE, or Safari) connected to your home broadband connection (no VPN). You don't need Adobe software installed to take the exam. The exam is delivered in Windows mode, but since you're connecting via a browser, it doesn't matter if you're a Windows or MacOS user.

What to expect from this course

The first two days of After Effects training focus on getting you up to speed with the interface and progressing through the starter-level features, e.g. basic animation, layer control, effects and more. Days three and four are targeted towards the more advanced features, and you'll create animated text layers, masks, and shapes, work with 3D and more. The final day will be focused on the certification exam, with the first half dedicated to exam preparation before sitting for the exam.

Target audience

This course is for designers, marketers, developers, or anyone who wants to advance their motion graphics and visual effects skills and earn After Effects certification.  

Upon completion, you'll be able to:

• Navigate the After Effects interface and understand both the core and specialist features

• Implement basic and intermediate-level animations to your video content

• Master layer control, how to manage effects within layers and even adjustments within your layers

• Export your files efficiently, add to the render and Adobe media encoder queues

• Animate text layers, vector paths and master masks and shapes

• Utilise 3D layers, the 3D axis and integration with cinema 4D

• Integrate with other Adobe tools and be able to implement project management best practices within After Effects.

• Undertake the certification exam

Prerequisites

You must already possess basic computer skills, such as knowing how to open and save files onto a computer.
